The Circle of Isis was authorized in October of 2004 as a central site for the Fellowship of Isis. They co-existed with the former FOI HomePage (now FOI HomePage Archives) once their current site went online in November of 2005. The co-existence of two central sites was part of the decentralization process that FOI co-founder Rt. Rev. Olivia Robertson wishes in place. Currently two more central sites have been authorized, the Star of Elen in the UK which is in the final stages of preparation of materials for their site, and FOI Germany which was authorized by Olivia as a central site in late 2008.

The authorized global central sites are Circle of Isis in the US, Star of Elen in the UK and FOI Germany in continental Europe.
